Chandrayaan 2 Mission to South Pole

India’s most challenging mission till today, operation Chandrayaan 2 is finally launched by Indian Space and Research Organization (ISRO) ON 22nd JULY 2019 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. A spacecraft which Launched after 11 years of ISRO’S successful launch of first Lunar mission ‘Chandrayaan 1’, the team of ISRO has after an initial hiccup, finally and successfully launched Chandrayaan 2 with the motive to land on the south pole of the moon on 7th September. With this, Chandrayaan 2 started its 48-day historic journey to where its search for water will start.

The succession of Chandrayaan is just another testament to the growing exploration of space in our current times as well as the increasing commercialization of space through satellite launching and various other commercial space activities.
