The University welcomes applications from students holding an overall score of 12 in the French Baccalaureate/OIB.
Maitrise
The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 12/20 (Assez Bien) in the Maitrise for most Master level programmes.
Licence
The University welcomes applications from students holding very high grades in the Licence for most Master level programmes.

The University of Stirling normally requires school leavers from Georgia to complete a Foundation Year for entry to the University. For further information regarding the University of Stirling’s Foundation programmes, please visit here.

The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 6/10 in a Bachelor’s degree or Doctoraal.
Norwegian Vitnemal
The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 3.5 in the Norwegian Vitnemal for entry to most undergraduate programmes.
For entry to our postgraduate courses the following qualifications are equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree:
Matura
The University welcomes applications from Polish applicants holding an average score in the Matura with at least 70% in 3 subjects at an Advanced Level.
International Baccalaureate
The University welcomes applications from students studying towards the full IB diploma. Normally, applicants are required to obtain an overall score of between 26 – 34 points, depending on the programme they are applying to. Certain HL subjects may be stipulated dependent on the programme being applied to.
The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 4+ (or Grade B) in the Licencjat for entry to most Masters level programmes.
The University welcomes applications from students holding an average Grade 16 in the Diploma/Certificado Nível Secundário de Educação.
The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 14/20 in the Licenciado or Diploma de Estudos Superiores Especializados (DESE).
Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level)
The University requires applicants holding the Irish Leaving Certificate to have up to five subjects at Honour Levels at grades H2 or H3 depending on the programme of study. Requirements vary dependent on the programme and subject area that the applicant is applying to.  Please email admissions@stir.ac.uk with any specific queries you may have.
International Baccalaureate
We consider the full diploma with overall points between 26 – 34 depending on the programme. We may also stipulate certain HL subjects for some programmes.

Normally, applicants are required to obtain an overall score of between 26 – 34 points, depending on the programme they are applying to. Certain HL subjects may be stipulated dependent on the programme being applied to.
The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum grade of Godkand in the Kandidatexamen, for entry to most Master level programmes.
Swiss Maturity Exam

International Baccalaureate
The University welcomes applications from students studying towards the full IB diploma. Normally, applicants are required to obtain an overall score of between 26 – 34 points, depending on the programme they are applying to. European Baccalaureate
The University welcomes applications from students studying towards the European Baccalaureate. Normally, applicants are required to obtain an overall score of between 60 – 70%, depending on the programme they are applying to.
Diplom/Staatsdiplom

The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 5/6 in the Diplom/Staatsdiplom for entry to most Master level programmes.

Licence

The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 7/10 in the Licence for entry to most Master level programmes

Diplôme d’Etat

The University welcomes applications from students holding a Gut in the Diplôme d’Etat for entry to most Master level programmes.
Direct Entry to 1st Year:
We welcome applications from students with the Devlet Lise Diplomasi. Students should have achieved a minimum of 80% overall in Grade 12, with 80% in relevant subjects.
Students with IB, A-Levels or the American High School Diploma can be considered for direct entry. Please see individual course pages for requirements.
We also welcome applications from students who have completed one year of university study in Turkey.
We welcome applications from students holding Bachelor’s degrees with a minimum of CGPA of 2.7/4.0 from a recognised university in Turkey.
Submission of IELTS and other recognised English language tests may be waived on a case by case basis, if the medium of instruction at previous study was in English and within the last five years. We require an official letter from your university or college. Please note that this waiver does not apply for courses that require higher than an IELTS 6.0.

School leavers are required to complete a Foundation Year for entry to the University. Applications are welcomed from students who have completed one year of university study.
