The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 2.8 in the Diploma for entry to most Master level programmes.
High school leavers with WAEC (West Africa Examinations Council)/WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination) are eligible to apply for direct entry to the University if they have a minimum of 5 grades at B or above, and no grade below C. The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of 6.5/10 in the Pytchion from an AEI for entry to most Masters level programmes.

Holders of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A – Levels obtained locally, will be considered for direct admission to Undergraduate Degree courses for both Year 1 and Year 2 entry. Details of the required subjects and grades for each degree can be found on course webpages.

Completed Hong Kong Higher Diplomas and Hong Kong Associate Degrees with a GPA of 2.9-3.3 will also be acceptable for Year 2 entry. Contact our Admissions team for course specific entry requirements from these programmes.

Where A-level Maths is required for any course, you will need to take Extended Mathematics. We accept both M1: Calculus and Statistics and M2: Algebra and Calculus.

We recognise that many standardised tests within the USA have been cancelled due to COVID-19. Under the current circumstances and to support our applicants from the USA, we will be test-optional for entry to the 2023/2024 academic year until further notice. If you have been unable to book or complete any standardised tests, we will undertake a comprehensive review and selection process to evaluate applications. This will include reviewing your high school transcript, personal statement and reference letter. The University of Stirling still welcomes applications with any test scores you have already received as well as an indication of any tests you still intend to complete. In some circumstances we may ask you to provide further information to assist us in the admissions process.
